Marylebone Farmers’ MarketMaryleboneMan
Down in rural Marylebone we have a Farmers’ Market on Sundays and boy is it popular.
It’s covered in earth in Marylebone
Lots of carrots and spuds covered in earth; lots of cheese; sympathetically farmed meat and occasionally a massive hog roast – the only reason in my book for going. In the age of COVID-19, queues snake around the narrow streets, almost joining up with the one outside Waitrose, where the carrots are not so earthy.
On the website, https://www.lfm.org.uk/markets/marylebone/ see the massive array of produce and of course it is a local spectacle in its own right – especially the customers. It is a great vantage point to play the whinger game, or spot the optimist which is a much tougher gig.
